Starting this Blog

Okay, so I have a blog with my marine corps sisters, Melissa and Sarah, but I thought, "what a fun way to keep everyone in touch!"
Right now, it is Saturday morning and I have cleaned, played with the dogs and made myself a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit . We are going to be heading to the beach soon and I cannot believe it is actually sunny and warm. I feel like this past winter lasted so long and I am so happy for the warm sunshine.
So..what is going on in our lives? Right now, I am looking for a job...something during the weekdays. I enjoy the freedom of not working, but I feel like I need to contribute to our family and I need to have something that I do for me.
I have recently started painting. I put up pictures of my first pieces on Facebook and when I figure it out, I will add them on here.
I am also 5 books into the Harry Potter series and loving it! They are quite entertaining :)
We recently gave away our puppy, Jack. We, or I rather, got him my senior year of college. We had recently discovered that Jack was showing aggression towards other dogs and small children and we decided to find him an older couple with no other dogs and whose children were grown. and so we did. Jack was very happy with her when she came to pick him up and that made it easier to watch him go. But we did the right thing. It would have been so much harder to keep him and then when we had children, have to give him away. So soon after, Joe surprised me with our new baby, Knox. He is a boxer, like Turk, and he is such a fun addition to our family. Turk and he play all day and actually end up wearing each other out and sleeping much of the day.
They make my days so happy!
About Joe...He just checked in here at Camp Lejeune and is enjoying it so far. My mom was here visiting last week and that was his first week so, thus far, all he has done is the check in process which is a lot of administration things.
So... that is pretty much all that is going on with us. Just getting settled in :)

Hope you enjoyed reading! More to come :)
